Location:

You can choose to do either outdoor or indoor.

Outdoor:  I am willing to travel to a location, a downtown, a park, a field, your background or any other ideas you might have.  For outdoor, lighting is the key.  It is best in the morning or evening, and open shade is great.

Indoor:  For indoor studio you can come to my house or if you need me to I can bring the studio to you if you have room.

The Session:

A session with me is never rushed.  I like to spend between 1-3 hours to ensure your child is comfortable and themselves.  They may need a hug, snack, diaper change, or just a break.  I will not ask anyone to “say cheese” but maybe some other silly things and interact and be silly to capture there natural personality.

Maternity:

Maternity sessions are usualloy indoors.  I would suggest not having any elastic around your stomach before your session, as it leaves marks.  I love low cut jeans and simple solid color tighter shirts that we can pull up.  I also have a sheer material we could use.  Feel free to bring along any baby items you’d like to include, shoes, a special toy, or stuffed animal.  Also you may want to consider getting a manicure because your hands will be in the picture a lot.

Newborns:

Newborn shoots are usually indoors.  Newborns are best done around 2 weeks or less!  They still will sleep and are ‘bendable’.  Babies are best in there diaper (mostly white),  diaper cover, or birthday suit!  If you have a special outfit we can include this.  I have props such as wraps, baskets, some hats I will bring.  I also suggest making sure your home is warm enough for the baby to be comfy in there birthday suit.  Also maybe undressing them 30 minutes before I come.  If possible try to keep them awake some before the session and then ‘maybe’ they will sleep while we work.  I like to take some awake and sleeping if possible.

Kids & families:

Be comfy.  Simple is good.  Solid colors and textures are great.  Layering adds interest also.  For kids bold colors and layers are adoreable, but try to avoid characters.  Feel free to bring a couple changes of clothing, if your childs up to it we can change as many times as you like.  Don’t forget to accesorize!  Hats, bows, funky scarves.  Shoes are optional  ( I love barefeet).  For families try picking a few complimentary colors paired with jeans or khaki’s.  Sometimes it’s not best to be matchy matchy, but to cordinate and still be unique.

Seniors:

Wear what suits YOU!  Feel free to bring a change of clothes.  I love to do senior shoots on location.  Places like downtown, by a train track a park etc.. so we may be walking.  Also bring something that represents you, drumsticks, guitar, football, etc..  Let me know ahead of time and I can plan some ideas.
